Museum of Cannock Chase education

The Museum of Cannock Chase offers a wide range of exciting and educational experiences for pupils (and teachers!) of all ages.

As a winner of the Sandford Award for Heritage Education, we have a proven record in providing quality educational tours to supplement KS1 and KS2 teaching.

Our activities for schools provide fantastic value for money; a full day of hands-on activities led by professional museum educators for £5.20 per child.

We also offer a discount for Cannock Chase District schools.

How the Museum of Cannock Chase works with schools

There are three areas to our education service:

  • Outreach service

Museum of Cannock Chase facilities

The museum has full disabled access with education buildings at ground level.

Our education spaces have toilet facilities, hearing loops and child friendly furniture and equipment.

We provide a lunch room, and open space for walking, picnics and recreation.

Risk assessments and teachers’ pre-visits are available.

Museum staff are trained in emergency first aid and subject to DBS checks.

Plus there's free coach parking.
